Potential Dancers _____________________________________________________________

I started dancing in 1974.  I learned to round dance ("Dancing with a Difference") and square dance.  I even began calling square dances!!  The social aspects of dancing was and is about the best thing there is.  All my friends that I dance with would tell me they missed me when I could not attend a dance.  When we all went to dance there would be hugs by all.  They all also cared about my family too.

What friends!

A few years past and I continued teaching school, teaching beginner square dancers, and beginner round dancers.  My boys had both graduated from college and were on their own.  Another dancer introduced himself, and months later he became my husband.  Only a couple of months passed when we heard the words "brain cancer."

And in November of 2005 he was gone, and the hardest thing was to go back to dancing.

A couple of years later I went back to a club I had danced with often, they welcomed me with open arms and they accepted my pat answer "I can't talk about it."  And it was that easy.

The circle of friends has grown.  This summer (2009) I danced in Iowa, Colorado, Wyoming, and California.  And there  was lots of time left.

…I'd rather dance than eat!
